Welcome to Bethesda,MD; located just northwest of the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C. This town takes it's name from a local church, the Bethesda Meeting House, which was originally constructed in 1820 and rebuilt in 1849. Most of the 19th century this town was just a small crossroads village. In 1890, when a streetcar line was installed, the urbanization began. Today, this thriving town is home to a variety of fine eateries, upscale shopping, festivals and a number of corporate and government headquarters. Here you will find just a few of our favorite places and spaces!
